To add an additional touch of luxurious sophistication, the lamp shade comes with a lustrous gold lining. This lampshade is SPECTACULAR. It‚s like having a piece of art atop a lamp base. The finish, inside and out, is done to perfection. The gold inside came covered with film, easily removable, and it as shiny as metal. The shade is a very dark navy blue, more like a midnight blue, which shows as black on the merchants picture.
It so happens that I own a pair of lamps like the one on the photo. I had bought the shade for a different one, but it ended up not being suitable for it. Ergo, the shade now lives, extravagantly sand happily, on the wooden tripod one. I don‚t get tired looking at it. The print of the parrots is sharp and clear, with bright colors. This was not an inexpensive purchase, but worth every penny.
